1878-CC GSA Morgan #2 (New Pics Added)

Well Guys,

 

My trigger finger was on my mouse the moment I saw this one. I nabbed her for "the price of a MS-60 1878-CC GSA". But my gut tells me this one is far from MS-60.

Too difficult to tell from those pictures, but can't go wrong if the price was right, MS60 is pretty well assured as the bottom.

That's what I was thinking too.

 

What caught my attention was how clean the coin looks. I've looked at many of the GSA CC's on eBay, and the bag marks are pretty noticeable. I also note the black areas on the raised surfaces on many of them. But there seems to be an absence of them on this one.

I noticed the small gouge above her eye.

I don't know how much that eye gouge will affect the grade but my guess is MS62.

The hits on her eyebrow, jaw and neck will probably limit the grade. Ordinarily, I would say MS62, but since it is a GSA CC, I'll say MS63.

 

I like the small "CC" too, and I use it as my avatar in a poker room.
