Indeed, Joe, more often than not mint set toning is quite unattractive. Most pieces tend to be mottled brown or grey, not the colorful pieces that we look for. That is why attractively toned coins are so valuable - they are scarce.

It was originally graded a 65 and I felt it was a lock 66. I sent it for a regrade using the free coupon along with some others and it upgraded to a 66.

Never have I seen such colors like that on Washingtons. They are just stunning!!!

How does one tell the difference between mint package caused toning and album toning? I suspect my quarter is album toned, but would like to hear y'all's opinion.

Sometimes it can be quite hard to tell. My guess would be yours is mint set toned. There tend to be more speckles in mint set toning, like on your obverse.
