Three other dealers have lost packages out of the same station.

That's really bad news.

Since this appears to be the fourth "disappearance" from the same facility, I would think filing a complaint with the Postmaster General and maybe even Congressional representatives would be in order. It's difficult to know who to trust any more, so the only reason I suggest contacting their Congressional representatives is to make sure there is no cover-up in the USPS.

Sounds like the postmaster general may be in on it to be honest otherwise they would of already investigated the other 3 instances of this happening. Sounds like time to start droping the shipments off to a different location and/or courier service.

Sorry to hear of your loss and hope the shipment will be located in it's entirety or at the very least covered by insurance . Please do keep the forum updated as this resolves.

Not sure there will be any news on a recovery or not since the OP was about how the shippment was missing from VAM's and More on its way to a customer. I do hope that they find it and that it all works out, but in all honesty, the thieves have problably already cracked the coins out within the first few hours to dispose of the evidence.

These weren't my coins or my shipment, so I'm not sure how they were insured or for how much.

Even if these coins were cracked out, they'll be easily spotted by anyone looking at die varieties.

Not that I do much eBay selling anymore, but I'd be inclined to put in the auction listing that any buyer whose shipment goes through the West Sacramento postal sorting facility must pay for registered mail until the situation there is corrected.

Would be interesting to know how the package was shipped.

And if they were shipped Registered the maximum insurance payout from the Post Office is $25K. If they were shipped any other way the maximum insurance payout is $5K. those payouts are per package.
