State Quarters

8 posts in this topic

I've been reading different things about the quarters minted in 1999. A lot of things I'm reading say to hold on to that year because they are more valuable. Is this true? I have about $15-$20 in quarters from that year and if they aren't worth more than the other quarters I may as well spend them on coins to fill the holes in my other books. Whats the scoop on these quarters? Thanks for your help!

I have 2 albums with one uncirculated set in each. I don't think there's any other reason to keep anymore. Circulateds are worth hm .25cents.

I spend them, too! The feeding frenzy has long since ended, and the only chance you may have for them to appreciate will depend on whether or not you live another 100 years or so.

The lowest mintage for any of the 1999 business strikes was 299 million!
