1955 double die???????

Even in that condition, with those photos (not very clear or close), it's pretty easy to tell that this is not a 55 double die. The spread on the lettering and date on a true 55 double die is extremely wide.

The Infamous double die will make you think you're drunk and seeing double vision when you look at it. If you don't have this effect with this coin, then it is not! lol

By "spread" I mean the distance between a letter and it's companion letter. Let's use "LIBERTY" for example. When the doubled portion is on top of that, then the separation between that liberty and the second liberty, that would be the spread. If you look at the other DD's, say the 1972 and 1995, there is a spread, but it's very minute. The 55 has what is considered a wide spread and as Bobby stated, it kinda makes you feel drunk when looking at it for any length of time.
