This piece is VERY crusty, but I like it. I think this is the first generation NGC holder....Let me know if I'm right about that. But at any rate the strike is pretty strong and the color is appealing to me. This piece appears to have some kind of die chip on old Iron Tail's chin that looks like a wart. Any comments are welcome, thanks for looking....Joe

It's not a first generation NGC holder, nor is it a second generation, third generation or fourth generation NGC holder. As of the publication of Conder101's book on the history of slabs, this coin is in an NGC 5 (fifth generation) holder and was issued throughout much of the 1990s.
