When I squint and tilt my head to the right I can kind of make out that they are Washington quarters. The photo is so small that I can't tell if they are VF or MS68.

Got any bigger photos?

It seems to me you need to do a better job of lighting because you are doing some "post processing" on your picture by turning up the brightness.

Get a camera that you can adjust the iris OR try some better lighting.

Fred,

Even your larger photo in still why too small for anyone to be able to give you a valid opinion as to how any of the coins would grade.

based on my experience and what i have seen so far with your scans

based on just money considerations/cost effectiveness

i would not send in any of these coins i would leave them right where they are

now this might change if i saw up then in person up close but i doubt it but anything is possible

for me

i would try to go to a local coin club and even join and then ask at the meeting if someone or a group of specialists or collectors in washington quarters could take a look at your coins and advise you

maybe there is a collector there that collects washington quarters and also submits coins on a regular basis and can give you some more information on your coins after he/she looks at them in person sight seen

then with this information it might help you make a better informed decision for you

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

now here is a photo of a coin

and this is an example of what kind of quality photo

you would need to do with these washington quarters in terms of a decent photo

where some on here could offer an opinion on..... if your coins are "submission worthy" ...or not.... based on a photo

and this photo still hard to tell what the coin really is but it gives you some idea

a much better idea

a starting point as it shows the coins lustre and marks to some extent but there is still nothing better than sight seen especially so with uncirculated and proof coins!

I can't even tell what dates they are. confused.gif Is the album a Whitman album with blue pages? If so, your color, brightness or contrast is way off. Take pictures of individual coins with a close up lens.

The ebay auction you have for a Washington quarter had an image that won't inspire much confidence, either. I will, though, have to admit that the Washington (1934/2) isn't known to exist and I don't see what you are referring to in that auction. As a potential bidder, this would make me not want to do business with you as I would think you might be a scammer. Just trying to help.

This is what I wrote to try to help you-

This is how you respond-

Forgive me ...please forgive me- oh TomB. I asked a simple question and all other members responded courteously and without insults.(My hats off to you all for giving me a break.) You could have simply asked me a question about the 1934/2 but no you have to make presumptions. I did the best I could at trying to highlight the coin so that the errors would be noticable. I took it to office depot made a 400% color copy and then had her do a full copy of just each half of the coin. Maybe it was an effort made in vain and I won't sell it. I don't think that asking for 1 U.S. Dollar for a coin with no reserve is that much of a risk for anyone either. Since it's debut the mighty coin and it's owner have been pummeled with smart remarks about it from dealers and other collectors alike. I'm sorry to have stepped into your world. Furthermore ... in this day and age ...why in the world would I want to scam anyone on the internet? I'm not a dealer or a business that hides behind a P.O.Box. I fully disclose where I live , my phone number, link to my wifes website with photo's of our kids, the only reason I even collect Washingtons in the first place is because Washington was apprentice to Robert Dinwiddie...Grandfather of the United States (Encyclopedia Brittanica) . I don't need the money that bad and I don't appreciate you implying so. You know it's funny ...last night I viewed your website and was impressed by your knowledge and stature within this board. I had thought to e-mail you to ask about these coins directly but now I'm glad I didn't.

Dude, take a moment to read what I was writing and you will figure out that I wasn't slamming you. Regardless of if and when you figure it out, you are free to contact me.
