Anyone want to take a shot at grading my morgan dollars?

I have just joined NGC and these are going to be some of the first coins I send off. Just wondering what you guys think they will grade. All feedback is appreciated.

Thanks, Brian

Hi Brian and welcome to the forum.

Unfortunately, your images make it very difficult to get a good look at the coins. The white balance appears to be way off (I am guessing the coins are not that color) and it's hard to see the luster and surfaces, as well. I couldn't see the enlarged version of the reverse of the first coin, either.

All of that aside, my guess is that the first coin is a 63 and the second one, a 64. They might not be worth submitting for grading. I would suggest, that if at all possible, you have someone screen them for you to determine if they should be submitted.

As Mark stated, it's hard to tell with the pics colors being off on the coins. Just going by details I would say MS63 for both and possibly 64 on a good day. The 1881 has some odd spotting/coloring that looks questionable but without the actual color of the coin showing up hard to tell if possibly and old cleaning and re-toning.
