Philadelphia, PA- Manual Labor Bank $50 Feb. 2, 1836

The central glass blowing factory vignette is found on all dollar denominated notes of this bank. These are often referred to as "Elvis" notes because of the appearance of the worker in the white jumpsuit. This short-lived bank was part of a glassware and patent medicine empire that was run by the bank's president until it all came tumbling down.
