1803 Cent Opinions Please

I'm still new to copper so I wanted to ask the board what you all think of this one. I think it's a nice coin - well centered strike, smooth non-porous surfaces, and even chocolate color. But please let me know if there are things about the coin that you don't like. I'm still learning. Thanks! The scuffing is on the holder.

I like it. NGC liked it. CAC liked it.

Yeah, I played it pretty safe.

Very nice example for your set. I'd like to see it lit up a little more, but everything I'm seeing appeals to me.

I agree Michael. Maybe I need brighter bulbs for my copystand.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts.

Honestly, it looks recolored to me. But of course, that could be due to the imaging. And without intending to start a sticker war, a significant amount of early copper with stickers is recolored. I spoke with John Albanese for - I'm not exaggerating - half an hour on just this one subject.

But what matters most is that's it's a nice looking copper, and you like it. So, it should be a keeper!
