I read about this months ago, not sure what the point is, except maybe broaden the appeal among the regular people (since vending machines for a lot of odd things are much more common in Europe than the US, which is limited to pop and snacks). After all, unlike us coinees, most regular folks don't frequent coin dealers or pawn shops, so this might get more folks to think about gold.

I understand that some company will soon begin installing Stella-dispensing machines in the United States, with Wal-Mart being considered as a likely target for the new concept.
