FUN Show - New Barber Half

4 posts in this topic

I'm also a sucker for larger silver coins with a creamy, golden, original patina, and this one fit the bill. It is a PCGS 1892 MS65. This coin has a bold strike, as expected for the first year of issue. Its luster is smooth, evenly cartwheeled, and quite pronounced. Its surface preservation is considerably better than many Barber halves I have seen in MS65 holders, particularly the almost perfect cheek.
