1873-CC half dollar

The surfaces have an odd look to them that make me think that the piece has been improperly cleaned. I don't think that NCS can do anything for you, and I doubt this piece will make it into an NGC slab.

Thanks. I've owned this coin for over 30 years. The few times I have brought it to coin shows, the dealers I have shown it to seem to get very excited over it and offer me over AU ask.

Perhaps this is some type of scarce variety?

a scarce and HUGELY IN DEMAND COIN

and the libery seated series that is mostly collected by date are the halves

and then you got just cc collectors by date and demonination and then just by type and there are only two cc halves with arrows for a cc type set

HUGE DEMAND

and only three things that makes a coin valuable (money wise)

1-demand

2-demand

3-demand

Either the pics are not showing the remaining luster, or that coin has had its luster unceremoniously removed. If your pics are just bad, then maybe I would call it AU58 -MS something or other.

Does it look more like this?
