What Is The Best Way To Store My Coins?

5 posts in this topic

I have a bunch of Silver proof sets and other coins that I want to keep from being affected by any moisture or humidly. I have been keeping them in an air tight pelican case with a Hydrosorbent 40 Gram Silica Gel packet. Can keeping my coins this way cause more harm than good? Or am I on the right track?

You are likely doing no harm at all and might be helping to preserve your coins. I do nothing special to my raw coins other than to store them in Cointains and I have never had an issue with toning.

Live in Arizona moisture a minimal problem.

I use Dansco Albums for raw sets

Government capsules for mint/proof sets and ASE and other coin issue.

Kept in a strong American Safe
