Tradedollarnut
The only coin that really surprised me is the NGC graded 1909 Saint. It looks much cleaner than a 62 - is there rub in the fields that doesn't show on the picture?
jtryka
I looked at it when I got it with a 10x loupe, and you got me, no rub, a little weakness in the strike, but it looked every bit a 63 to me (not quite a 64). I just bought it on eBay at a good price for that particular coin, and am happy to add it to my set. I always find it amusing that everyone focuses on the overdate, but the straight 09 is just about as scarce, especially nicer examples like this one. swhuck
Holy $%^*%#%*^!!!! I just entered the contest on a lark, and I don't claim to be much of a grader. Obviously the gut feeling method works.
