Got this for my type set

I like it Steve. A little verdigris issues but what most old copper doesn't.

VF-25 to VF-35 +/-. Looks very acceptable.

A commercial VF-20. I think it would be around an EAC 12 grade.

Yea I would go with VF-20 also.

It's a nice VF-25, but to be candid, you could get an EF for not that much more money. The Braided Hair half cents did not circulate very well at all, and the vast majority of the survivors are in high grade. It's rare to see one below VF, and EF sharpness (sometimes net graded for environmental problems) is the norm.

I think it's a decent looking type piece. Personally, I would go a bit higher to maybe VF 30, but I agree with a previous comment in shooting for an XF for not a whole lot more money but I have no problem with the coin in your post.
