Couple of Lincoln Finds

5 posts in this topic

I found these two in my change, the 73-D I got on Saturday, and the 60 I got at the gas station this evening (I compared it to my album, and I think it's a LD, but I am terrible in telling the 1960s apart). Not bad for face value, and it's nice to see them out there, too bad I already have two nicer specimens in my album! Obverse Reverse

The cents have an extremely high attrition rate so any given coin is likely to have been used only a few times (or it would have been permanently lost). The older coins of course did usually get some circulation before they were set aside to reappear now.

Nice Jeff! I always check my change and very rarely find anything of interest. frown.gif Those must have been hanging around in rolls or in a collection that someone abandoned.
