Coin Valuation--The Reality

Howdy.

I have some coins I need to sell. I have looked over the

grading process and the coin market in a general way.

I looked up my coins on the Numismedia FMV Price Guide.

One of the coins is worth $610.

My question is this.

Is this the value I should sell it for or is this like a "retail"

price and everybody wants a discount or to buy it at

wholesale?

I watched the same coin on eBay and coins of similar

grade went for $300 - 500.

I have been told that for the most part eBay pays low

value.

Or is the value from FMV just a shot in the dark and

it can go for any price in the world?

Welcome Dan. If you are new to coins, it may be best to post some pics and get more grading help from the forum. there are alot of knowledgeable people here that can help!!

FMV would be 3/4 and up depending on condition ... did I say that
