OK! The coin bug has bitten

3 posts in this topic

I have a number of coins that I think merit submission. To me most of them are straightforward Kennedys and Franklins. Since I have not yet signed up for any TPG service I have a question:

Let's say there is something special about the coin, some variety/error of something that I do not notice. Will the TPG find them and ID them? If I don't specifically tell them doubled die or Type II will they recognize it?

Neither NGC or PCGS will do this unless it is something they have to do (i.e. they recognize and label ALL of them either T-1 or T-2). They will not find a DLB DIE for you.

They won't recognize most of them either even if you point it out. You'll need ANACS for that.
