It always chaps my buttocks to see an expensive item selling with a S&H charge attached (let alone fifty bucks!). That is just poor customer service. But, maybe I've just been spoiled by Mark Feld over the years and know the standard of ultimate customer care? :P

most things these days have "free shipping" . so i feel those still chargeing will have slower biz than the free shipping offers. i know lots of people that wont buy it if they have to pay for shipping (unless item was free)

 

it is one of those things people just expect since most other do it.
