Copper question

2 posts in this topic

NCS has had tremendous success with the conservation of copper. Copper coins can display a wide variety of surface problems, many of which can be addressed by NCS techniques.

Keep in mind that NCS does not recolor coins. NCS does not turn brown coins into red/brown, or red/brown to red. However, during the conservation process as residues and foreign materials are removed the appearance of the coin may be improved greatly, becoming lighter and brighter as the coins surfaces become visible again.

For a better idea of what NCS is capable of, stop by our before and after gallery to view recent submissions. New coins are added to the NCS gallery every couple of weeks.
