  5. -Saturday Report- Today was a relatively slow day with an attendance of 215. But...those who showed up were buyers and not tire kickers. One of the "mature" dealers asked me if I knew what I had done this weekend and I responded No. He said: You have created the Michigan State Fall show on the east coast. I don't know about that, but it made me feel good. There were no security problems that I am aware of. The security team briefed me after everybody was gone and they had no problems. Prior to the show, I sent out a security email to the dealers who were attending. Hopefully, they all observed the warning NOT to stop, eat and leave their vehicle unattended. ANACS was busy from opening to closing again today. Next show April 6-8, 2023. -Friday Report-The show went well today with an attendance of 408. It seemed like everything was selling including circulated wheat cent rolls, proof sets, gold coins, silver bullion, Morgan dollars, early type coins, currency and all key date coins. I worked several tables while dealers took a break and at each table, I made at least one sale while they were away. ANACS was busy. Geoff from ANACS was onsite accepting submissions and he only had a chance to take a bathroom break once from 9am-5pm. I met several board members. If you were at the show today, please post your experiences.

  9. The Fall National Battlefield Coin Show™ was held September 8-10 with Thursday being dealer setup and early birds. Everything was selling, with bullion being a little soft. Foreign coins have really picked up over the last 2 years and were selling well. All the dealers I talked with said they had a "very good" to an "EXCEPTIONAL!" show. ANACS was accepting submissions and was the best day Geoff has had. There were no security issues. The first day there was concern that a PCGS 1921 D Walker in F-12 had been stolen, but it showed up at the end of the show. Our show travels with the same security detail who are great guys. Foreign Coin Dealer, Jim Hirtle is retiring. He informed me Friday morning this would be his last show. Jim is 87 and still going, but slowing down. Jim's smiling face will be missed. It isn't easy to impress me with many coins now days. BUT...I was impressed with an NGC Proof 68 Cameo Morgan and 2 PCGS Morgan dollar patterns. One of the patterns was Red Brown and the other was DCAM. My purchases were miniscule and not worth writing about. Overall, a very successful show. If you came to the show, please post your experience.
