Can somenoe please explain what a backorder is and how it works? I recently got this email from the mint regarding my 1/10 oz buffalo I bought (uncirculated, not proof)

Kevin, just do a web search for the definition of "backorder" and you will have a quick answer.

It means that you won't get it as soon as you had expected.

A lot of times some items with the US Mint are back ordered Keven. It can be due to a delayed ship date of the product. This happens alot also. That date may change, it's just an estimated date of shipment.
