It's too bad that you will be without transportation. Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood, Multnomah Falls, Bonneville Dam, aand Crown Point offer some beautiful sights.

Here is a list of dealers from my 2007 directory (I can't find my 2008):

Affordable Jewelry & Precious Metals

304 SW Washington St.

Alder Gold Exchange

121 SW Morrison St. #127

Alpine Coin Co.

11040 NE Weidler St.

Berry's Southeast Coin & Jewelry

8119 SE Powell Blvd.

Bob Merrill

25 NW 23rd Pl. Ste. 6

Bradley's Coin, Inc.

1939 NE Broadway St.

Columbia Coin Co. Inc.

5048-B SE Hawthorne Blvd.

Division Street Coin & Currency

16016 SE Division St.

Westside Coins & Currency

7037 SW Macadam Ave.

I can't attest to the accuracy of this information. So, if you should consider visiting any of these locations, it might be best to call them, first.

Thanks, Chris. I'm hoping that the conference I'm at will afford me the chance to take some day trips in the van they're providing, but I don't know if I'll even have the time.

Columbia Coin is the best, though it's probably been 6 years since I've been there. Norm Locke was the gentleman I always dealt with, he can seem a little gruff at first, but don't be put off, when you get to know him and his son as I did, they are great folks! And if you are looking for something in particular, always ask since not everything is in the display cases. When I was there, it was right downtown, though from the address above it might have moved, but regardless it's worth a trip.
