2008 Proof Set

Got my 14 count 2008 Proof Set from the U.S. Mint in the mail today. I think that they look pretty nice

Mine were mailed out Fri. so I should see them hopefully during the weekend.

Got mine yesterday. I agree, this year's proof set is pretty nice. I also like how the presidential slab doesn't seem like it was an afterthought ... unlike last year's.

I have canceled my subscriptions to the Mint and will order direct now when the sets come out. Half the time I get a double order from the Mint, have the time I get no coins. I guess that this is fair, after all it ends up being the same number of sets, just the wrong ones!

 

I have never seen such a screwed up process in my entire life, no proof sets, double the silver proof sets, etc, etc, etc.

Sorry to hear you have had such a bad experience with the Mint. I can see how it can get frustrating.

 

Luckily I have had none of the problems you have experienced.

 

And my coins have been shipped!!
