do you have this coin in hand? if so you might want to take scan without the flip. the glare doesnt help i think its blurring the pic more.

also if it is a scanner try scanning in a higher dpi or ppi. also if you can crop while scanning try that. i found that when it has things like staples and such to fucus on it doesnt get coin very well

I used 300 dpl...the highest on my scanner. It is a scanner with Dell printer a960
