Us Rhode Islanders think pretty small...being the smallest state of the 50...so here is our concept of a "ship". lol

The link below is to a post on World Coins that we did for Jackson, another fellow member here who has an interest in Maritme related coins. You ande should communicate with each other.

These are (bronze?) medals from past Mardi Gras celebrations. They share a common reverse showing a shrimp boat, and 4 of the 6 have a boat or ship on the obverse. They also make aluminum doubloons, which are thrown to the crowd from floats, with the same design.

I know I've posted some of these before, but I wanted to revive this thread to see if anyone had others to post.

Like that New Hampshire medal, Chris!

Okay - here's another one. You have to look close to see the ship, though. :)

Would this qualify? I've shown this before. I love the way it looks next to the "massive" Morgan $.

The USS Enterprise USED TO BE the largest warship in the world until the USS Nimitz was built. It's keel was laid in 1968 and was commissioned in 1975. It is 1092 feet long, 254 feet at its widest and is 21 stories tall! It normally has an at sea compliment of 6000 sailors and has a fully loaded weight of 100,000 tons.

Hey, ship lovers, hers a cool calendar that ends in 8 hours on ebay.
