I am attending a local auction next week. There are over 300 lots. Several are world coins which normally don't bring much interest. Following is a list of those coins. Are any worthy of bidding on? If so, whats a good price? Thanks

The catalog price on that 1779 2R looks above the actual market price unless it is a scarce date. I do not collect portrait coinage but I'm fairly certain that I could never sell that coin for that price. I sold a 1760 Peru pillar 2R in VF two years ago for about $70.

rons, are any of the Canadian coins listed as Arnprior Dollars or is there mention 2 1/2 water lines versus 3 water lines?

 

This would be on the 1951 and 1955 Dollars only.

hope to arrive at the auction 3 hours early so I can investigate much closer and ask questions. There is no other information available except what is listed on the sheet :( What are the markers for the 2 1/2 and 3 water lines? In front of or behind the canoe?And which one is more valuable? Thanks :cool:
