005 1964 5C PF REV SCRATCHED

.

Seriously, was this from within a Proof Set? If so, how does that get scratched badly enough to disqualify it? I mean, I know those old sets are only in Mylar, but Good Gravy Marie!

I am curious. I sent in a 2008 Proof Silver Eagle a few days ago that I got from the U.S. Mint.

I needed another coin to make up the 5 coins for the Modern tier and one of them was a 1970D Kennedy.

I have all the Mint Sets from 1970 in OGP. I just cut it out its covering in the OGP and sent it in.

Where did you obtain your 1970D? What are the chances that I would get a MS64?

Thanks

Yes, they were part of the Millenium set. Though the grades are lower on the SAC's. I have another that got MS67PL. Though I do like the DPL. Not too many of them.

Doesn't sound good if they came from Mint Sets as I believe that in MS64 that Numismedia has a value of $18.00. If they have been in Mint Sets and untouched by Human Hands all this time then how can one expect a higher grade otherwise?

It all depends on how the mint sets were handled and stored. You would think higher grades from mint sets but if they have been handled a lot or dropped then they can get damaged.

I hand picked these thinking there were better so I will have to check them again once I get them back to see what I missed.

that's a lot of 2001 P and 2001 D Kennedy's...a 68 or two would have been nice for you...I actually could use the 2001 P & D...PM me if you're interested in selling one each in 65 or 66 grade...help you recoup some of those grading fees...

Those are Some nice Grades there!

I was wondering However, How you submitted your 2000 Millennium Sets? What submission Tier? And Did they have to be sealed? I have about 10 Sealed 2000 Millennium Sets and I recently Opened one and Just sent in the A.S.E And Sac....But I don't think I will get the Millennium set label, I'm not terribly Worried about it because like I said I have 10 more sealed sets still in the Mint box from when I ordered them in 2000! Any Help would be greatly Appreciated as I would like to send all 10 sealed sets in soon to get graded!

Thanks

I used the Modern Tier and I just sent the entire package so they would know they were from the set. I would have had the notes graded but I didn't have five worth grading.

In order for the Millenium sets to be designated, they do have to be sealed. The note can be sent to PMG from NGC if you're a member and that service is paid for, or they will just send it back to you.
