My first experience with NCS...

...was really a non-event! I just got the coin back yesterday, I sent it in for some copper spots to be removed, and it was returned in the original holder with nothing done on it, since they felt they couldn't remove the spots without hurting the overall appearance of the coin. And that's fine by me, I'd rather they do that than mess it up!

You may be correct that NCS by returning the coin untouched, created the best of possible outcomes. As you are aware, I have considered sending some Half Eagles to NCS, but have changed my mind because of your (and other) opinions.
