2008 Silver Commemoratives

I was looking at the schedule for the U.S. Mint. And noticed that the bald eagle Commemoratives will be available on Jan. 15th. But unfortunately wasnt able to find a link to them with pics. If one is available and someone knows it please post here. Also how many different silver commemoratives will be available for 2008 or is that not established yet?

I believe that I read somewhere in these forums that only two commems are authorized by Congress each year.

Not that I've heard of. I think I remember someone saying that the Bald Eagle "commemoratives" are the only ones this year.

Is it just me, or does it appear that the eagle on the reverse of the dollar has no head?

So far the official line is that the bald eagles wil be the only program this year, but the year is still young! And Congress has a way of changing its mind.

Of course they can have on-gong programs like the First Spouse series, the Presidential dollars, the State Quarters and other round pieces of junk.

 

There are too many coins period.
