I, too, have been recently re-photographing my gold collection...

 

A piece of constructive criticism on your photos, if you don't mind. Try either a) moving your light "higher", and/or b) adding a second light (I'd suggest one at 1:30 and a second at 10:30) to bring up the brightness of the darker areas of the coin and to show the luster/cartwheel better. Like this:
