Kennedy Half Double Die Reverse Coins

3 posts in this topic

I was going through 2 rolls of my 40% (1965-1970) Kennedy halves and found 2 with Double Die Errors on the Reverse. One is a 1965 D with Strong double lettering in the "STATES of AMERICA", the Other is a 1968 D with visible Double Lettering in the "STATES OF" area.

I even found one 1967 with a die crack on the reverse running through the "STATES" area.

Not bad for searching 2 rolls of old silver coins. They will all grade from EF to AU.

My question is would these coins have enough value to be graded or just to keep as an oddity.

I found one reference from an old web site stating the 1968D with the DDR was worth $25-$50.

I find myself cash poor and was wondering about sending them to ANACS or should I just hang on to my money until I can send them to PGCS or NGC?

Any Suggestions?

Curtis
