Bill, can't wait to see pics! XF is my favorite grade, although I don't have any Barber's.

Bill is one of my friends who I've been helping ATS -

and I'm very pleased he is over here to post his beautiful

VF-XF coins. [ Don't let me down now, Bill.]

I left off with the 1898-O in XF 40.

Here are a few more:

1900-O - PCGS 40:

TCB1900-OHalfXF40.jpg

1901-S - PCGS 35:

This coin is from my last 2nd set

and I wanted it back - even though

I have a really nice AU 50 in this 2nd set:

1902-S - PCGS XF 45:

I left off at 1902...

Here's a really nice 1904-P - PCGS 40:

TCB1904-PHalfXF40.jpg

I also picked up duplicates of all the 1905 coins,

even though there was nothing wrong with the three

coins already in the 2nd tier set. Anyone who knows

Barber Halves knows that the three 1905-P-O-S coins

are impossible to locate in anything over G8.

1905-P - PCGS XF 45:

TCB1905-PHalfXF45.jpg

1905-S - PCGS XF 40:

TCB1905-SHalfXF40.jpg

That concludes "Show and Tell" for today...stay tuned for the five other

newps that are upgrades for the 2nd Tier Elbesaar Set.

In the meantime...Happy Hunting everyone !!

Mike,

I am working on pics, but, well, have you seen my photography skills? ;)

I think I have the lighting bit figured out though, if I get some time this weekend I'll work on it.

I'm still drooling over your 01-S, glad you got it back! But.. if you ever decide that it is surplus to requirements... :D

Two coins added to upgrade the 2nd set:

1906-P - PCGS XF 40:

TCB1906-PHalfXF40.jpg

1906-O - PCGS XF 40:

TCB1906-OHalfXF40.jpg

Three more to be added later - which concludes the dozen and a half newps

I purchased from a dedicated Barber collector.

RLD15 will be posting his purchases from the same collector soon - I hope.

Bill...you can copy and paste just as well as I can... (shrug)

Okay - left off at 06-P & 06-O - both nice coins, IMHO.

Last three from the Gettysburg Collection:

1908-S - PCGS XF 40

1911-D - PCGS XF 40

1915-S - PCGS XF 40

TCB1915-SHalfXF40.jpg

The owner of the Gettysburg Collection and I have been friends for a few

years ATS - and when he mentioned he was selling his beautiful set of halves,

I notified RLD15 [ Bill ] and another friend JMW [ not known at NGC - yet ],

as well as a few other Barber Half Collectors.

Most of his set is now in the hands of other Barberphiles however

he does have a list of very nice VF PCGS certified coins still available.

This is in no way a solicitation to SELL... just an offer to HELP.

Send me a PM if there is anything I can do for you to HELP

you with your Barber Half collection.

I picked up a couple of nice Barbers for the Quarter collection at the ANA in Ft Worth...

a 1914-P in PCGS 64 in an OGH - nice little whitish coin:

1914-PQuarterPCGS64OBVogh.jpg1914-PQuarterPCGS64REVogh.jpg

I also picked up another upgrade for the 2nd Tier Barber Half collection as well...

seemed I had to chase this one - but the 1903-P is alot more elusive in mid

to upper grades than most people realize ...

[ except for myself and the guy who kept upping his bids...]

Here is a nice clean [ NOT cleaned ] ...lol... PCGS 53:

Happy Hunting everyone !!

Mike, its tough to grade a MS coin from images.

Without the coin in hand - I'm seeing a touch of

rub on the obverse...so...AU 58 ... and a nice one !!

Thanks for sharing !!

I have been watching this coin since it was first

put up at auction at DLRC. I decided to pull the

trigger tonight as noone was bidding on it. Their

images are never that good - but I have never

been disappointed with the coin once I have it

in hand.

I have every intention of having my Quarters

professionally imaged and once completed,

I'll have side by side comparisons posted.

set registered here - but its not open for viewing.

Here's a very special looking 1914-S - PCGS 64:

that 14-S in 64 looks fantastic. and the Vf30 half appears very choice... and if rld says "buy that coin" then it's a good one. Good to see you over here, rld!

Barber Half in a PCI MS 60 Green Holder ... he's

thrilled he bought it, arn't you Bill ?

Well when it comes to Barbers I do have to defer to Mike... I talked him into it because, well, a 93-S in solid VF is an outrageously tough coin to find.

Here's my 1893-S in my 1st Tier set:

1893-SHalfPCGS58.jpg

1893-SHalfPCGS58Holder.jpg

Here's the one in my 2nd set:

Here's the one that was in the Dansco

1893-SHalfRAWobv.jpg

1893-SHalfRAWrev.jpg

- but I just sold it to make room for this one:

1893-SHalfPCGSVF30.jpg

Last but not least - the 1893-S in my Whitman:

Funny you mention that coin, I hung out with Carl at the NJNS meeting last night, and he wants that half, BAD!

I dunno.. I mean I do not want to sell it :(

RLD15- Tell Carl I said hello.

I'd like to see that 96-S again.

Bring it to the Boston ANA.

Here's a crummy image of my

better 1896-S - PCGS 58:

Beancounter - find a reason to come to Boston for the ANA show in August;

RLD15 and I will be there - maybe I can get Tombr to come up too.

I'm going to be helping Ponyexpress8 out behind his table [ my first time

behind a table...and I'm excited about it !! ]

I'll be displaying a selection of my Barbers as well. So, I hope you can make it.

Looking forward to our phone call - I hope I have my Barber Dime grades back

by the time we speak !! BTW - once the coins are back they'll be heading to

BluCCphotos for Todd to image.

So...stay tuned Guys and Gals... lots of pretty Dimes will be posted soon !!

No Barbers to report today, sorry. Just some old Seated Dimes... images

to be attached on the NEWP Thread later.

Elbessar is correct on all guesses including the name. Now for rld15, a sense of humor like that can only be from an east coaster.

Thanks for the welcome from all of you.

:D

I'l second what Mike said, much as it goes against everything that I hold dear, and as long as we stay away from the 7th layer of hell (Fenway Park) I will be at the Boston ANA show.

I need to get my halves imaged.. I really do...... Problem is, on one hand Todd does amazing work, but I wish I could do it myself.
