US Mint Puts Gold and Platinum Back On Sale

Without announcement or fanfare, the US Mint as repriced the American Gold Buffalo and American Gold Eagle and released them for sale. Platinum prices have not changed but are now back on sale. The one-ounce gold Eagle is sold out so its price has not changed. The half-ounce Gold Eagle Proof was raised by $60 while the Gold Buffalo saw a $74 increase.

 

As I type this, the spot price for gold is $757.30 and platinum is $1420.00.

The platinum pieces actually are not available for sale. I suspect they will be back in a couple of weeks after a re-pricing (same process gold went through).
