presidential proof set

4 posts in this topic

i have a question and i am confused as to whom to ask it to, so i thought someone on this board might know.

i have a presidential proof set and all four presidents have some type of spotting on them -- it almost looks rusty, or oily. i want to submit them for grading but does anyone have any idea about this? this cannot be the only set like this, so help please?? would it be considered errors?

thanks

Welcome to the boards quest. I also ordered a few of these sets and had some bad ones, smudges, finger print on one, just not nice at all. Photos would help if possible! :hi:

If the coins have spots, it's a waste of time to send them in for grading. The service will probably grade them, but the numbers should be low. Historically anything below PR-68 or 69 is low. Most people are looking for PR-70. If they don't get that they think they have "failed."
