1879 S MS 66 DPL Morgan $ rare? have more info?

So far I know that this is one of 24 graded this high by NGC with only one higher. Any Idea how rare it is and its value. Any other info is appreciated. thx

Around $900.

 

PCGS has graded around 38 in that grade with 7 higher.

A 79-S in 66DMPL is a tough coin to locate, especially if it truly has deep mirrors (many don't) and without the usually seen die polish in the reverse fields. A coin like that should retail for about $950.00 - $1400.00 depending on how nice it is for the grade IMO, with a superb cameoed piece at the upper end of the range. Even the far more commonly seen 80-S in 66DMPL sells for between $700.00 - $900.00 and the 79-S is definately a tougher coin.
