Reverse Morgan on both sides ?

Friend just called me asking about a Morgan with the eagle on both sides of the coin. Is that a known error? Maybe a known "china made" round?

Any info appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, and there are plenty of them out there, although you are more likely to see them in smaller denominations.

There was also a counterfeit Morgan made from two fake reverse die that was offered and withdrawn from an auction in England sometime in the past three years.
