Anyone know what the token would be worth, today?
By the way, do you know what the pictograph says on the obverse? 😁

I had this one graded and sold it last year. I’ll look up how much I sold it for and let you know.

Is that the turnaround at the moment? I did a submission last year and it took about 50 days. We'll see, hopefully won't be as long as you say.
Yeah, but it will be worth it. Make sure you ask them to image it. I think you'll be happy

I haven’t posted this in a long time and just love the auctions description. Better than I can do any day of the week! One of the 4 finest known.Virginia. Richmond. Beck's Public Baths. HT-441, Low-275. Copper. Rarity-3. AU-58 (NGC). Plain edge. Struck medal turn.A marvelous example of this great token variety. On the obverse is a nude woman bather seated facing right with legs testing the water. The reverse has BECK'S PUBLIC BATHS around, RICHMOND at center. An extremely popular token for its risqué and artistically rendered bather obverse. This is one of the most desirable of all 19th-century American tokens. Most of these are found well circulated,The Dice & Hicks Mint State example sold for $16,100 to one of America's leading long-time numismatists, who had never had the opportunity to compete for an Uncirculated example. Again, we expect a great deal of interest and excitement as this crosses the block. It is likely that the opportunity to compete for a Mint State example will not occur again anytime soon.Die punch analysis confirms these dies were engraved by James Bale of New York, and were obviously sent to Virginia where the public baths were located from 1832 until 1844.- R__Rash, Fenntucky Mike, Just Bob and 4 others

The information provided below my token is provided by. NovaNumismatics.com The Bailey & Co began its existence as the Bailey & Kitchen Jewelry Company in 1830. Founded by Joseph Trowbridge Bailey and Andrew B. Kitchen, the firm was located at 136 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. Joseph Bailey was an accomplished silversmith and jeweler, and along with his partner Andrew Kitchen, the firm was a renowned business which had earned strong loyalty by its customers. In 1846 the two partners decided to dissolve their partnership. However, the firm experienced a rebirth when Joseph’s brother Eli formed a new partnership with Jeremiah Robbins and James Gallagher. With the birth of the new partnership, the business continued its operations at the same Chestnut Street address. Operating under the moniker Bailey & Co., the firm continued at its same location for the next 13 years. In 1851 Joseph Trowbridge Bailey Jr joined the firm as an apprentice. Just a mere three years later he rose to become president of the company. Two years thereafter he became a partner. In 1866 Eli retired, and twelve years later the firm was reorganized once again. Renamed Bailey, Banks & Biddle, the firm remained a staple Philadelphia firm until 1961, when it was acquired by the Zales Jewelry Company.

I think that one is supper pretty and would send in. I don’t specialize in Russian coinage but I own several and if
i owned it I would send it in and splurge for some nice images if you can afford.
I think it’s AU58 and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s MS62/3. Toning is semi common but not that nice of toning like this one.

In conjunction with the ANA, Joe Rust, president of the Gallery Mint Museum, refurbished and refitted the first steam press
used by the U.S. Mint. Rust said at the time, "It was a wonderful experience to work on this press that carries so much history with it.

Now, to me this is super interesting ! I have not researched to find the year that Lauer created this Spiel but looking close it echoes the
1879 New York Martinka & Co. NGC MS63 merchant token I bought a while backThis is the Spiel I picked up recently
Spiel Marke Counter Token Cable Car/ mundus vult decipi discipiatur
Phrase, means "The world wants to be deceived, so let it be deceived.
I am aware and did read that this shop once was owned by Houdi and he had a double
Obverse made of this token……..Martinka token ….I assume this token is put out by the merchant. Which was him at one time. For giggles I photoshop each coin to show the size differences, simply because on or the other
came out blurry.- Fenntucky Mike, Woods020, Hoghead515 and 1 other

Hi, Stefanie. Certificates are awarded to those who earned "Best in category" (Basically, the set with the highest registry score) for a competitive set. Your plaque and free coin for your major award will be automatically mailed to you in the coming months. Also, as a major winner you will see a $500 credit on your account to be used toward grading fees in 2022! (It will be applied in the next few weeks) Congratulations!
p.s. I deleted your screen shot of your name and address for security sake. These boards are viewable by the general public.
Well, that’s what I get when I’m trying to do something while I’m sick…..lol. Thanks for deleating that.
btw, I sent in an order and usps said it was delivered about 3 weeks ago but nothing is showing up.
Maybe the money can be towards these? But the submission doesn’t show up yet.
when I called in they said they are running 3-4 weeks behind.

1965 Overstruck Peace Silver Dollar Numismatists of Wisconsin Medal Coin Club
Overstruck on a 1923-S Peace Dollar. So I have pics below of the medal itself and then
I have individual pics showing the obverse only compared with a real 1923-S Peace overlay.
And, the reverse only compared with a real 1923-S reverse overlay.
I hope I don’t confuse everyone but here goes.
.
According to what I could find on the internet a total of 8 (1) per officers/ member was struck.
I really like this one as both sides have such cool depictions.

The overstruck as is- Woods020, Lem E and Hoghead515

Do you have a mailing address listed on your account? If so they'll send the plaque there. The plaques for the major awards are mailed automatically to the address on your account. The certificates for categories are digital downloads or you request that they send printed ones. But those also automatically go to the address they have for your account. So do you know how to check your account information?
Hi, Thanks,
I did as you said but it says nothing to download. Maybe as you say its a minor award so nothing to mail, email or download?
Yes, they have my email address on file. I've attached screenshots.....perhaps I was in the wrong place?

Best in Category
And as always, the NGC Registry honors the #1 set in each category with an icon of recognition next to the set. Winners will also have an option to print a certificate of achievement through their My Account page. ****Be sure to log in and check the box if you want your best-in-category certificates mailed to you! You have until February 1st to choose this option!****
Edited 6 hours ago by Ali E.
Since I do not have a Registry "per se" mine is a custom set. I cannot find where I click to have it mailed to me.
It says I don't have any awards.
Thanks,
\

Our apologies! I have updated it in the chat board article and am waiting to hear back if we can still edit the live announcement... We definitely appreciate having you as part of the NGC family, coinsarefun!
Awesome!. Thanks so much. Truthfully an honest mistake as we don’t have enough women in numismatics.
It's Token Tuesday! Post 'em if you got 'em.

Here are a few more things about the man. But, before the pics I'll expose the obverse saying as you stated you knew it but others might not have.
Awl + Tea + Hat + G [Cleft] + litters [hogs and hounds] + II [= two i's = is] knot + gold doubloon. "All that glitters is not gold"
Needless to say he was a very energetic and entrepreneurial gentleman
