Wow! Chinook,
That coin ranks right up there as one of the three or four prettiest trimes I have ever seen.

Now that is a stunning piece! Simply superb! Outstanding! What more can I say? Oh, I know. Fantastic!

Here’s my latest acquisition. It’s a HK-497 So Called Dollar in a NGC MS-66 holder, but NGC has it mislabeled as a HK-498. I’ll be sending it back to be corrected with my next submission. It is much nicer in hand than it looks in my photos.

Here’s one I picked up about a month ago. Both the obverse and reverse rims of the coin have a touch of bright rainbow toning. Although most prominent at 6 o’clock on the obverse, the color becomes more apparent in other areas around the rims as the coin in rotated under a light. In fact, most of the areas that appear dark in the photos actually show as color when light hits them at the correct angle. The centers are a very nice original silver color.

Goose,
I don’t know anything about your new token, but if it is really made of metal from the Merrimac itself that is VERY COOL!
