And here's one that I picked up from Mike Printz a while back. These are his photos, so I hope he doesn’t mind also.

The hit on the eagle is not keeping it out of an MS66 holder, but the luster is.
I agree. In my opinion, the coin is more then clean enough hit wise to merit a grade of 66, but the luster needs more pop.

Thanks Victor. No, I don’t have any of the Centennial medals, yet.

Here are two more So Called Dollar’s for my collection that just arrived today. The first is a HK-462
It is struck in bronze and it is graded MS-66 by NGC. It is listed in Hibler & Kappen as very scarce, meaning only 251 to 500 pieces known, and at this time it is tied with one other in the NCG census as the finest known.
The second medal is a HK-559.
This one is graded MS-67, and while not a particularly rare medal overall, this example is the only MS-67 graded by NGC, with only three other examples graded higher at MS-68. It is struck in gilt bronze and is much nicer in hand then my photos depict.
As always, comments and questions are welcome.

Chad,
You’ll never get a 1928 Peace dollar if you keep getting distracted by other coins.

WHOA!!! That is spectacular, John!!!
Thanks Tom. This piece really is a nice example. I have always liked the design, and have seen quite a few over the years, but I have never seen one quite as nice as this one.
I’ll have to add it to my coins to show Tom list for the next time we see each other.

Here’s a piece I just added to my so called dollar collection.
It’s a HK-573 1959 Oregon beaver dollar graded MS-67 by NGC. This medal drips luster and has wonderful eye appeal.

That’s another very nice coin Mike.
I like the first set of images the best. Which set of images does the coin look most like in person? I suspect the first.

Wihlborg- I think "THUNK" seems apropriate
Yeah, so do I, but I didn't want to steal Tom's thunder.
That really is a great coin. I'd love to see it in person sometime.

Thanks for the comments on the Oregon guys. I’m pretty excited about being able to add two great Oregon’s to my set in one month.

These two just arrived yesterday.

Thanks Lee,
That’s a scan of the coin. I really need to try to get some good digital photos of it, as the color and luster is much nicer in hand.

Lee,
It seems that you and I have a lot in common. We both love classic commems and Lincolns. You wouldn’t happen to like buffalo nickels also would you?
Anyway, here’s my Roanoke for your consideration.

Tom,
Yes, I have. I remember it well, you bought it at the GSNA show a few years back. It’s a lovely piece.
Very nice Norse medal Mike.
