I was curious as to why there is hot 50 slots along with a couple of peace dollar slots mixed in with the top 100 slots, I have a top 100 vam set and noticed these slots and thought it was weird

The coin was already slabbed by ngc, I was charged for grading already but no ncs charge, , I just read that if it's already slabbed and ncs declines then it won't be regraded, unless written regrade regardless of ncs decision, I wish I would of known this, I would of written it on the form

I finally put in my first submission and was curious about a few things, is the ncs fee charged separately from the ngc regrade fee or does ngc charge for the total submission fee, I was also curious as what order this process happens, is it regraded and then sent to ncs or sent to ncs and then regraded, I also see the status changed from received to scheduled for grading, what does this mean, I'm new and trying to learn how some of this works in order to make better submission choices in the future, I don't think the coin I submitted was a good choice but it's a practice run, iTia

@powermad5000would you happen to know if the charges from ngc and ncs would be separate, I ask because ngc has charged my cc but the charge was missing the conservation fee, if they are separate I don't know how ncs would charge me without a method of payment

thanks for the answers everyone, while I'm here I do have a question regarding my own coin submitted for conservation, so I sent in a ngc slabbed morgan for regrade-economy+conservation (first time submitting so it's a learning curve) coin was received on the 22nd and today it hit the status of scheduled for grading, 2 days later ?, I read that ncs takes 20+ days so I guess it's safe to assume it wasn't eligible for conservation, but then I read if an already slabbed ngc coin is submitted for conservation + regrade and ncs declines conservation it wouldn't be regraded unless you write regrade regardless of ncs decision on the submission form (which i didnt), so it's easy to say I'm a little confused, i will eventually understand the process in due time tia

Thanks for the response guys, i knew the answer but merely looking for confirmation, although I do have a coin submitted for conservation ( I don't know if it was accepted or not ) It's not why I asked, I asked because it was stated that conservation was put on the label and I wasn't going to argue about it so I came here, thanks again for all the responses

@RWB I'm learning the lingo, your saying if it comes back cleaned or something it would be on the label or numbered in the cert number

When a coin goes through conservation is it listed on the slab in any way, is it hidden in the cert number , thanks

I full heartily agree with you, this is a new venture for me so maybe I will find another in the near future, being there is only 38 between ngc/pcgs I will have to wait my time, thanks again

@powermad5000 that's why I'm here to post and learn, I guess I should be happy its allowed in my registry set and adds 800+ points and even more grateful I have one period, I think I will leave well enough alone thanks for your advice

@powermad5000 when I check the variety plus list I see vam 14.11 listed

@powermad5000 I honestly thought if it was in the census they recognized it, if they've graded a few wouldn't they recognize it

@powermad5000 why would they not recognize it, I think there is 7 in ngc census and it's in the top 100 registry set

@Mr.Bill347 it really is, I wish those couple of factors amongst rarity were enough to make it gradable.

I wish there was a better option for this vam 14.11, it's hard to believe a rim ding kills it but I get it, I feel like it deserves better than a genuine only label, it should at least get a details grade like f/vf details, i know it will never see a numerical grade, I guess I'm lucky to have one at all, I thought about crossing it over to ngc for a details grade if possible, I'm new to all this so I'm still feeling my way around, what's your thoughts on it ? is it stuck where it's at

I will need to figure out how to do that as I've never submitted a coin before, I would also like to see if this coin is eligible for conservation at the same time.

I have this vam 3 spitting eagle that's actually a vam 7 spitting eagle far date (date one full dentil to the right) how do I go about getting this fixed, I'm new and learning the ropes, I actually have 2 by ngc, both au55 and both are vam 7.

what is a genuine label, I understand it means its authentic but why doesn't this morgan have a numerical grade, it doesn't have a details grade which is why I'm curious as to why it isn't straight graded. is there a better option for it, can it receive a numerical grade.

thank you, I created the hot 50 set but there isn't a slot for either of the 2 hot 50 morgans I pictured, I sent a request for both new slots, hopefully I did it correct.
