  1. I honestly just collect anything silver and any other coins that I find interesting/cool. I have way more world coins than US coins though, due to them being a little cheaper but also because I'm a huge world history buff. Big fan of silver threepence, sixpence, shillings. Also a big fan of coins from Seychelles (mostly pre-independence but they have some nice ones after). I don't have a special attachment to that place, I just like the way the coins look. I also of course have a few silver American Eagles, Brittanias, and Kruggerands. Waiting on buying anything gold at the moment I don't want to put that much money towards my collection (yet)
  2. Oh well, guess it’s going to stay in a capsule. Thanks for your help and advice!!
  3. Of course! Should’ve posted these in the first place. I’m mostly wanting it slabbed just to keep in my collection, look cool, and to keep it in good condition. I know it’s not too valuable, but it’s cool to have 1 of only 25 ever made (even if it’s from an unrecognized state). Plus, I’m young and can hold onto it for a while just in case it ever becomes worth more (probably not though!)
  4. New coin collector here! Through sheer luck and chance, I got a rare coin/medal in a world coin grab bag I purchased recently. It's a Silver Araucania-Patagonia 1989 Soberano with a mintage of 25. See link for price guide reference: https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/world/araucania-patagonia-soberano-x-24b-1989-cuid-1065880-duid-1231808 It's not worth a lot but I'm still excited to have something so rare, especially since I only started collecting a few months ago. I know this is a shot in the dark due to the obscurity and rarity of this medal, but does anyone have any more information about these? I can barely find anything online about them. Would it be worth getting it graded, or is it too obscure of an item to even worry about that? Will grading be more expensive due to it's low mintage even though it's not worth more than $95?
