While I am certain you were being sarcastic, I did enjoy them. I found a coin guy on Facebook that determined that they were in fact brass, well, 2 of them anyways. However, the 1871 came back as 12kt gold and he suggested that I have it graded. He did give me over 200 1oz copper rounds for the "trinkets" as he knows I am an avid collector of copper. So, for $50 for some "trinkets", I would say it was as good as gold to me! 

At $150, color me impressed. I paid $50 for the lot of 3.

Best I can do is this. I used some care and caution and removed it from the 2x2 it came in and placed it in a new 2x2. I used cloth gloves and only touched it to weigh it. It came to .37g. Hope this helps the community. I picked up some, what was reported to me as, "Fractional California Gold". I can't find anything besides the www.calgoldcoin.com website for two of these. As far as the third one, it seems to be genuine. Any ideas? I just picked them up today, Saturday 5/29/2021 and have NOT had the gold purity tested. Any help would be welcomed. 

Update. After sitting in their vault for several weeks due to the pandemic backlog, NGC has sent the dime and another coin of mine off to the grading process. Anyone want to venture a guess on what NGC will decide on the anomalies? DDO? MAD? Collapsed dies?

I have made the ultimate decision to send this dime to NGC for a decision as far as either MAD percentage or if it is a DDO. For anyone interested in the outcome, follow this post. 

This looks more like a DDO than a MAD. I simply can't imagine this is worth just face value. I am considering having it authenticated by NGC and save it for the future, should more come about and it gets accepted as a DDO or other currently unknown error. I would rather have it graded and preserved than put in a 2x2 or generic capsule and have it tone or fade over time. 

Someone chime in and tell me I have a rare find on this 2015 D Roosevelt Dime. In my opinion, it looks to be off center by a few percent. Someone tell me what they think. 

I guess I was looking at the Millennium dollars. How do I tell the difference?

I went to the bank and did my weekly coin run. I ended up with this unopened roll of 2000 D Sacagawea dollars.If they came back graded high, like MS67, MS68 or MS69, they could be worth some serious coin. As far as the NGC or PCGS registry, there is NO MS70 2000 D Sacagawea on graded record. Should I take the gamble and grade the inside coins? I know the enders are not worth grading, but what's inside hasn't been touched in 21 years. Any thoughts?

I bought an unruly amount rolls. As it turned out about 93 of the rolls he sold me turned out to be 100% wheat pennies. I have been searching them the last few days. I am highly convinced they were never searched, as I have came across 3x 1909 VDB, in various states, and other key dates. That being said. I am looking, not to make a million dollars, but to help fellow collectors fill their books. I am only interested in filling 4 of the H.E. Harris & Co Coin Folders from 1909 to 2013. I have a surplus of a lot of dates. Anyone interested in a specific coin, send me a message. IF I HAVE THAT COIN, they start at $1 each and go up depending on the date and mint mark. For this price, you will get the coin itself in a cardboard 2x2, labeled, and mailed in a regular 3 5/8" x 6 1/2 envelope with a first-class stamp. These are NOT graded, most I would consider BN, however, some are in fairly good condition. I am NOT by any means an expert at grading, so PLEASE, do NOT buy them if you intend to have them graded. I CAN'T and WON'T claim these as mint or proof state. Message me and we can go from there.

Can someone explain why I have a 1953 D wheat penny that is smaller than a standard wheat penny of the same year and why MY wheat penny weighs 2.06g

This 1952 D weighs in at the right weight for a wheat era penny. 

No no no... Here is the deal. I got the pennies from an estate sale. In rolls, that I was told had been sitting for the better part of 20 years. the cups labeled 1-52 are individual cups containing 50 random pennies from the years 1940-1958 of the P D S mint marks. The cups were randomly filled as each roll was opened and sorted. What I did was broke a roll, hit it with a magnet, then sorted it by "variation" based on PCGS.com Lincoln Wheat cent acknowledgements and separately portioned out anything between 1909-1939. The ones that didn't make it into the recheck pile went into the resell cups. I was skeptical of the "has been cleaned" issue on some of them, but they were intermixed so randomly, I can't imagine why they would have went through that trouble and then put them back in a roll. Especially when there were only 15 of them out of 2,700. I found a buyer to take the 52 cups for $52 and I am going to go and use $25 of that $52 to buy 2,500 MORE pennies from the local bank that have been in a sorting for many a moons being used as change. Still looking for that one that isn't gonna get away from me. 

52 cups of 50 of 1940-1958. One cup of 84 of 1911-1939. Keepers on the page are 7x 1943 Steel 5x P 1x D 1x S and 15x 1940-1958 "ooohhh, shiny penny" (wondering if they are worth grading. They are nice and shiny)
