  1. The peace dollars were not minted with the best quality. The 1922 high relief was the best quality minted I believe. Would love to find a high grade one. I'll keep dreaming lol. Peace dollars were sloppy during mint process apparently.
  2. Still a good coin worth noting.save it for observations sake!
  3. All the reasons to be excited and I'm excited for you. I'm gathering up my tossers and getting ready to trade in again! Let's keep the positive energy flowing hahaha. Too cool and happy for your find.
  4. Seems counterfeit looks brassy in color. Tough to tell in picture. Rim's are strange are the stars appear weird as well. Doesn't look like gold to me or maybe it's the lighting. But don't toss it just yet. Maybe keep it for comparison to a genuine one and for reference.
  5. Interesting. May we get a picture of the reverse? Possibly a staple got in the way at the Denver's mint? Or maybe someone punched it in.I like to keep them error or not.
  6. Very cool Greg! I'm so glad you found one! Thank you for sharing your findings. Glad to inspire. Chime in anytime.
  7. Hogshead that is just too cool! Congrats to your son. Very cool find so proud to hear of this.
  8. Got my first v75 salt river bay 2020 w mint mark!
  9. Sorry. No. The I in liberty does kind of resemble dd but it's not. Weigh the penny though for that year.

I've had a fascination with coins ever since I was born it seems , that and archeology and history. Pretty much been collecting on and off for most of my life. Really started getting into it though for roughly 10 yrs. When I can afford it. I'll buy a coin, but usually I like to find them in the wild or roll searching.

Nice work!  It sounds like you've started off the right way!

  11. Thank you NM! I appreciate everyone here. It's hard to find people that care about coins anymore it seems. But that's okay at least we do. I love Kennedy halfs and silver halfs/dollars.my friends jokingly call me a "coin freak". I'll take it as a compliment lol. Although not silver still looks great.
  12. That is exactly what I have ready for them,2x2 flips. I've taken them out for photos purpose only and have new flips. I'm so worried about oxidation. I've been using silicone dioxide packets in the box I store my 2x2s into.they look good so far hope they hold the luster. Thank you for the observation and input is greatly appreciated.
  13. I've had them several years now.cant believe they still look like this.
  14. Thank you for the welcome. I appreciate the second opinion. The damage seemed odd to me as I've seen many coins damaged and I toss them back. Thank you for your information and observations.
