  1. Thanks for the info guys. Can’t seem to find it in the app store for Iphone.
  2. Yea I dig on the colors some of these will turn. I just got this one in the mail today. Aside from the mark on his face, this thing is a dandy. Nice tones to it.
  3. Thanks. Im really into the Jeffersons at the moment.
  4. Hoghead wins the prize!!! What a waste of time all of that editing was.
  5. I don’t think anyone here wants to see you fail or waste your money. Coin collecting is an amazing hobby but can be risky at the same time if you are not knowledgeable about what you are buying. Everyone makes a bad purchase at some point. I have and I’m sure others here have too. You say you like quarters? Cool. My advice to you would be to take $100 out of your stimulus check and buy some books on quarters. Not price guides, but books with information on quarters. Educate yourself as much as you can on those quarters and go from there. Start small. Buy a roll or two of quarters and study them. I did agree with you on this tho, don’t buy colored coins. They are trash.
  6. I have nickels that are worth way more than $600. The coin collecting game is a beast. Buckle up and good luck.
  7. I guess I am just not going to worry about it too much anymore. If people can read through the black line, whats the point. If it becomes a problem, I will deal with it then. I am working on trying different techniques on photographing my coins, but all I really have to work with is my Ipad. Coin photography is not the easiest thing to do, and I am amazed by some of the pictures I see that you guys put out there. I did watch the 2 hour ANA seminar on the photography techniques and am going to try some of those ideas. One of these days I may get a better setup for coin photos, but I would rather buy a nice coin than a nice camera. I greatly appreciate all the feedback and advice from everyone and look forward to chatting with you all again on different topics. Thanks again.
  8. Very nice 41 Jefferson! This is more geared towards my ASE sets. As we all know, these sets are all about the label and I am as guilty as anyone for buying labels. That said, I’m too invested to quit buying them now, but they are on the back burner. Now working on a 38 ~ 64 Jefferson nickel set so I can buy COINS!!! Dont get me wrong, my ASE sets are beautiful but I needed a change. Thanks for your help.
  9. By the way Mike, I dig your profile pic. I’m more of a GUNDAM guy myself.
  10. I totally agree with that. I want to see the real cert # when making a purchase. I wont buy anything without seeing the actual coin and cert #. Thanks.
  11. Hello everyone, I am fairly new to the scene here and I have a question I hope someone can help with. I was wondering if it is necessary to hide the certification numbers of my coins in my registry sets? I see that some people do and some don’t. NGC hides them, so it made me curious if it was a good practice, done for security purposes, counterfeit measure, or if it mattered that much. Below (or above, wherever this picture ends up) is an example of how my coins are displayed at the moment. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks,
  12. All I can tell you is to do as much research as you can and make a decision from there. Learning never hurts. Good Luck.
  13. Are you saying the counterpunch is the damage?
  14. I did a little more digging on this club and it has some pretty prominent names in the coin community attached to it. I would definitely do some research on it. There are other denominations that are stamped and from what I see, they aren’t the cheapest things around. Good luck Mike and Hoghead finding some. Does it have a grade?
  15. Thats a nice piece! I would hang on to that one.
