  1. First of all I want to apologize for the poor quality of the photos. I received these photos from a friend who wanted to know if this 1944 Merc could be a DDO. I couldn't find any info on a 1944 but I did find that there is a 1944 D DDO. I'm thinking machine doubling...any opinions? Thanks
  2. Hi, I know you must be busy, and I accept the long turn around time. When I sent my submission (economy) in, the turn around time was approximately 28 days, but before it was noted as received the turn around time went to 35 days, I understand the time is calculated from the time it was received and only counts working days. Now the time is 33 days. My submission was received 6/3/2022 and was moved to scheduled for grading on 6/9/2022. It doesn't appear to have any more movement and is still scheduled for grading. Does this mean it will take longer than the 35 days? Just wondering. Thanks
  3. I went in and re-entered my card number and information and it's not doing it now, but if it happens again I'll send you a screen shot. Thanks
  4. Don't know a whole lot about this coin other than the fact it looks to be in awesome shape considering it's age. Does anyone know why it looks so dark? Thanks in advance for your opinion.
  5. Every time I log in to NGC I get this notification: "Your AutoRenew card on file appears to be invalid. Please choose one of these options to fix your account". I reviewed my information and it is correct. My card is not invalid. How can this be corrected?
  6. Thanks for the suggestions in solving my "slime" problem. The acetone worked but as was mentioned, "the coin may already be damaged" .....yes there is, not real noticeable but it's there and it's only on a couple of coins. Thanks again for all your help.
  7. Thanks guys. I'm going to practice on another coin before I try one of the Kennedys. Will acetone do any damage to proof coins? I ask because the proof coins seemed to have the most "slime" on them.
  8. I found a John F. Kennedy, Coinmaster Album with some kind of substance on most of the coins. Is there any way to remove it without damaging the coin? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Just looking for an honest opinion...do you think I should have these graded?
  10. I sent some coins in for grading...they went from received to scheduled for grading to Grading/encapsulation / imaging now they're back to scheduled for grading. What happened?
  11. Thanks for all your input but my son said the only way to find out for sure is to send it in. Just got back from the Post Office and it's on it's way. I sent it with five other coins that I was sending anyway...so now begins the waiting period. Thanks again for everyone's input.
  12. Thanks Lisa, that clears it up. I'm putting two separate envelops in the box each with it's own submission form. Rick
  13. Just a sale. I happened to get there right after the sale opened.
  14. It says in the How to Submit section' "If you are submitting multiple grading tiers in the same shipping box, indicate the highest/fastest grading tier" My question is, how do you indicate what is the highest/fastest grading tier? Do you mark it on the outside of the box. I have two submissions that will be coming soon. One is economy and the other is standard. I plan on using the same box for both and I'm kind of confused on how I should "indicate". Thanks
  15. As requested here are some of my estate sale coins. It was a very lucky day for me. To bad the Flying eagle is scratched on the back.
  16. Here are some pictures without the magenta background.
  17. Picked up several coins at an estate sale and this was included. Doesn't look quite right to me. What do you think?
  18. I found this at an estate sale along with several other high value coins. I'm checking the rest of them out and then submitting them. Thanks for your input.
  19. I was told by a person that this was a counterfeit. Do you agree?
  20. Thanks RWB. What was the give away that let you know it was a jewelry token?
  21. This was found in an collection dating back to the early 80'S. I believe the collector bought it in the early 60's. Do you think it's real? Weighs 0.35 g.
  22. Finally got my brother to weigh the first penny...3.11 gr. In reference to the second penny I have taken several coins out of bezels and none have created that kind of damage to the coin.
