I looked at the NGC price guide and there's no estimated price for a D/S or a D/D . What do you think it would be worth if anything , giving the condition ? Should i send it in to be looked at or not worth it ?

Try bringing it to a coin shop maybe they can Shed more light on the subject . I would if i still had questions .

Oh man that sux. All right thanks gents. It weighs 3.411 grams is that within tolerance?
As for the weight , it's most likely in the normal range but I'm not sure

I'm going to be getting a scale today , so i will weigh a few of the wheats i have around year 1942 and let ya know what i come up with .

I'm pretty sure it's just a Copper Wheat Penny 1942 . I have a lot of wheat pennies about 275 to be exact and there all different colors . And i have 54 from 1942 many different colors . As for the weight I'm not sure cause i have no scale . But maybe someone else can confirm it's just a normal wheat penny .

Zinc is 2.5 times as heavy as aluminum, and brass is 3 times heavier. (Round numbers)
I had a feeling it was lighter than both but wasn't sure , ty for clearing that up .

If it was aluminum, the weight would be .93 g , a lot less than copper or zinc.
I didn't weigh it yet , but plan to . I'll post the status here when i do . But it does feel lighter than both , also with my make shift scale i made a ways back . It passes both the copper test and the Zinc , lighter than both . But I'd like to be sure with an exact amount .

Most likely , I'm not lucky enough to hit a jack pot item . Although i would Keep it i think if it was rare .
If it is aluminum , it would weigh less than the copper and the zinc pennies right , or In between ?

Online it says it could be a aluminum trial penny , whatever that means .
