  1. At first glance it looks like doubling on the upper right edges of the one nine give and three, however the numbers are too thick to be doubles. Then there’s the angle under the 5.
  2. Often times overdate coins are confused for double die coins.
  3. Underneath the five. Then a regular 1953. Notice the sharp downward break in the five where there should be a curve.
  4. There are two separate bevels one the coin suggesting an over or double strike.
  5. Notice the five has a straight bar in the middle instead of the curved point.
  6. Notice the three on the 53 is more rounded while on the 43 it is more pointed. Now looks at the overdate coin. It is a good amalgamation of the two.
  7. The three is overstruck as well As the nine and one
  8. Notice how far the four comes down also the four angle is visible between the top of the five and the loop of the five.
  9. Struck through cloth. Sometimes a piece of fabric works it’s way into the lamination
  10. Coin also has remnants of a Reese’s edge I’m going with an Ecuadorian 10 centavos. Any suggestions?
