Bought this on eBay. (where else? ) 1908 S Indian Head Cent. It seems worn out of shape, which probably explains the low price. Seems to be a reliable seller, I doubt that it's counterfeit- nobody would counterfeit a coin in such a bad condition, right? Just two more to go until the collection's complete!

Great coins everybody! I love seeing/hearing about other people's finds. I found this on eBay. 1871 Bold N. Based on the images from the listing, I'd guess it to be FR-2 because it seems to have been damaged much more so than worn.
I wouldn't post this normally, but it's the 55th date in my Flying Eagle/Indian Head collection! Just three more, 1877, 1908-S, and 1909-S. (Not including 1856, that's out of my price range) All of the coins in this collection are between PO and VG, condition shmondition!Definitely going to get 1908-S next, as it is the cheapest of the three. Currently have my eye on one on eBay (where probably half of my entire collection comes from! ) that's only $43. I hope to finish this collection before 2021! Shouldn't be too hard, but $600+ for two coins is a lot for me.

I was looking through a bit of change when I came across this 2017-P Lincoln Cent. There is an odd circle on the obverse and I don't know whether this is an error or not. I've seen this before on a quarter, but I dismissed it as some coincidental scratches. Now that I've seen it twice, I'm skeptical. Does anybody know what this is?

Here are better pictures of it:

I snagged a 1921-D Mercury Dime off of eBay for $23. The seller listed it as AG-3, which I agree with. I couldn't see the D in the original pictures, so I was a little bit skeptical, but it turned out alright.

I have been a numismatist for about a year now, and I don't know what coin to buy next. I want your suggestions and opinions. My maximum budget is $100. I do not want a pre-federal issue, I do not want an error piece, and I would prefer that it is not modern (before 1955). I'd also prefer that it isn't an Indian Head cent or a Winged Liberty dime, for I am already filling in collections for both of those.
I would greatly appreciate your input.

A few months ago, I bought this dateless capped bust dime for a few dollars. It is variety 1 (wide border), and I can see the a 2 on it, which limits the dates from 1820 to 1828. I cannot read the last number, no matter what I do. I don't want it to be an 1822 dime without my knowing, but I don't want to clean the coin either. I have two questions:
1. Will a certification company be able to reveal the date?
2. Are there any methods of finding the date without cleaning the coin?
